Clay Fest InfoPacks Chair
Useful skill set:
¥ Attention to detail
¥ Excellent communication skills, written and oral
¥ Proofing and editing experience
¥ Strong organizational skills—paperwork, time management, scheduling
¥ Software proficiency—MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Reader
¥ Email abilities—group mailings, frequent email communications, sending attachments/images
Committee needs: none
Work shift needs: none
¥ Develop a budget (printing, envelopes, mailing-budget has been $25/year)
¥ Attend all steering committee meetings and keep detailed notes on comments regarding changes to Application and Move-In Packets. Incorporate those changes as requested.
¥ Review and update application form, submit to steering committee for approval, make changes as requested and submit to proofing assistants before publishing. (Proofing assistants usually include Clay Fest chair and Registrar, at a minimum.)
¥ Write (or use previous) email letter with Clay Fest chair signature explaining that Clay Fest application is available online at website and including a link to application. Ask Clay Fest chair to read and approve the letter.
¥ Provide PDF of application for webmaster to post. Ask that webmaster notify you as soon as application is live online.
¥ Send Clay Fest Secretary letter from chair and link to application online, asking that Secretary email to all Local Clay members.
¥ Mail hard copies of application to list of members requesting hard copies (list will come from Local Clay Secretary)
¥ Review and update Move-In Packet, submit to steering committee for approval, make changes as requested and submit to proofing assistants before publishing. (Proofing assistants usually include Clay Fest chair and registrar, at a minimum.)
¥ Obtain from webmaster list of participants who wish to receive Move-In Packet by snail mail.
¥ Send PDF of Move-In Packet to webmaster, to post online.
¥ Mail hard copies of Move-In Packet to participants on snail mail list.
